Hire Charges

The hire charge quoted is for a 72 hour period which constitutes a ‘single day’ this is to include delivery (or customer collection) the day before and collection (or customer return) the day after (72 hours). Weekends and Bank Holiday weekends are charged as a single day. 3-4 day hires are charged at 1.5 times the single day rate and 5-7 days are charged at 2 times the single day rate. Longer periods by negotiation. Late returns are charged at 25% per day. Hire charges are subject to current VAT rate at time of invoice.

Method of Payment & Deposits

For convenience, we can accept Visa, MasterCard and Switch cards, payment by BACS or cheque are also accepted but only in advance and enough time should be allowed for clearance prior to the delivery date or customer collection date. A minimum deposit of £50 will be required at time of booking and is refunded after the event upon full return of the order. Any lost or broken items will be deducted from the deposit held. Full payment will be required at time of collection or 2 weeks prior to the event date. Please remember you are responsible for the equipment, including boxes, crates, linen bags, for the period of hire. Losses, damage, breakages and non returned items are chargeable. The replacement cost is shown on the quotation and order confirmation. In the event of items being/broken/damaged /missing on delivery, please notify our office within 12 of hours of delivery, we will not accept replacement items. Our stocks, whilst comprehensive, can be exhausted a peak times. We work strictly on a first come – first served basis – so please book early

Delivery & Collection

Delivery is to and collection is from a ground floor location with easy vehicular access. Charges do vary and are given at the time of quotation if equipment is required to be delivered or collected from upper floors via lift or stairs a charge is applicable this can be agreed at time of booking. We would expect the equipment to be repacked (as delivered) ready for collection. If this is not the case, we reserve the right to charge for the time spent repacking equipment. You are welcome to make your own and collection and return to our premises in Ashford.

Return Dirty (Wash Up) Service

Our return dirty service helps remove the headache at the end of your event. Let us know at the time of booking and we will itemise the charge for you. A premium rate may apply if this service is not pre booked (for cutlery, crockery, glassware, larger items should be returned clean. Laundry is already included in the linen hire charge).

Cancellation Charges

Will be charged if a confirmed order is cancelled or substantially changed. Confirmed Orders Cancelled within 7 days of start of hire 50% of hire charge. Confirmed Orders Cancelled within 2 day of start of hire 100% of hire charge Reduction will not be accepted 7 days prior to start of hire. Additions can be made subject to availability. Charlie's Hire reserves the right to revise hire rates, terms of hire and product specifications without prior notice..
